Ivy Tech Community College-Princeton Instructional Center is now offering an opportunity for a total of 30 individuals to earn six free college credits through the Southwest Indiana Manufacturing Project. Upon successful completion of the courses that will be offered this summer, students will earn the national recognized certification – Certified Production Technician. Current juniors and seniors in high school are eligible for this program.
Classes will be offered:
- June 6-July 1: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
- July 11-Aug. 5: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Location: Ivy Tech Princeton Instructional Center, 2431 S. Crabtree Drive, Princeton
This program, which is a $2,600 value, is designed to help give individuals the beginning skills they need to have a successful career in manufacturing. Students will learn safety practices, quality practices and measurement, manufacturing process and production, maintenance awareness, and more. Credits earned are transferrable into a Technical Certificate or Associate degree program at Ivy Tech.
